Brawerman East Elementary School is located in the heart of Los Angeles' east side on the historic campus of Wilshire Boulevard Temple. Students learn in our state-of-the-art classrooms and specialist labs and studios and play on a rooftop athletic field with views of the Hollywood Hills.

School Tours
At Brawerman East, we think it's important to really get to know each other, which is why we offer small-group parent tours. During your time on campus, you'll see classrooms in action, meet students and teachers, and learn about our academic, social-emotional, and extracurricular programs.
Fall 2025 Tour Dates:
- October 24, 2025 at 8:30 - 10:00 a.m.
- November 14, 2025 at 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Admissions Events
Throughout the fall and early winter, we invite you to join us for a number of prospective parent, community, and applicant events, to help us get to know each other during the admissions process.
- Breakfast with Brawerman: This event provides an opportunity to get to know our Head of School and and other academic leaders, as well as includes a Q & A with a panel of Grade 6 students. This event takes place each December.
- Kindergarten Applicant Playdates: All Kindergarten applicants attend one of our playdates, which take place in a friendly group setting with our Kindergarten teachers. Children spend time engaging in fun and age-appropriate activities that help our teachers get to know your child and where they are in their learning and developmental journey. Parents stay on campus during the playdate and have a chance to connect with current parents and school leadership. Playdates take place in early February.
- Visiting Day for Grade 1 - 5 Applicants: Applicants for Grade 1 through 6 spend a day on campus with us! Visiting students are paired up with a buddy and join their current grade-level peers in the classroom for a day of fun, learning, and friendship. They will experience morning meeting, literacy and math blocks, recess, and a variety of specialists classes, such as Science & Innovation, Visual Arts, Music, P.E., and Hebrew. Visiting days take place in January and February.
- Admissions Parent Dinner: Applicant parents join Brawerman East's administration, parent ambassadors, and clergy for a dinner. This event is an opportunity for conversation and connection to help you get a glimpse into our community.
- Family Shabbat Experience for Application Families: Prospective parents and students are invited to join us for Shabbat art and cooking experiences in our Art Studio and Test Kitchen. Afterwards, prospective families will join us in our historic sanctuary for our joyful, weekly Kabbalat Shabbat Service. This event takes place in late February.

- Parent Ambassadors: Current Brawerman East Parent Ambassadors are available to connect with you one-on-one.
- Wilshire Community Family Events: Brawerman Elementary School families are a part of our larger Wilshire Boulevard Temple community. Wilshire plans fun family Shabbat events throughout the school year, including our unique Chanukah Aglow and Disney Celebration Shabbat, and our monthly Shabbat Family Jams - Saturday morning events with music, food, a coffee cart, arts and crafts, and special experiences, such as petting zoos, reptile visits, and more! We encourage prospective families to attend one or two of these events to get a feel for our larger school and Temple community. Invitations will be sent throughout the admissions season.
